Course Description

The Hindustani Classical Vocals Foundation course is a perfect starting point for anyone who wishes to explore the soulful world of Indian classical singing. This course introduces you to the rich traditions of Hindustani Sangeet, focusing on developing your voice, understanding ragas, and mastering rhythm and taal in a simple and structured way.

Starting from the basics, you’ll learn proper posture, breathing, and vocal exercises to strengthen your voice and enhance control. Step by step, you’ll practice simple Alankaars (patterns), understand the concept of Swaras, and learn how to use the Tanpura for pitch accuracy.

The course also includes devotional and traditional compositions like Bhajans and Raga-based Bandish, helping you develop both technical skill and emotional depth in your singing. By the end, you’ll be able to sing confidently, understand the essence of ragas, and perform with a strong classical foundation.

  • Optional: Basic understanding of rhythm or clapping along with Taal
  • Notebook or digital notes to track Swaras and compositions
  • Dedication to at least 20–30 minutes of daily practice
